Kirrily Johnston
Designer Kirrily Johnston launched her namesake label in 2004/2005 and it has fast become one of Australia’s most edgy labels, reaching cult status in Australia and internationally.
The Kirrily Johnston aesthetic is modern and sexy with its feminine silhouettes and androgynous appeal. The label plays largely with layered fabric and fine detail that unite to create fashionable yet comfortable designs and has a strong celebrity following including Megan Gale, Nicole Kidman and Kate Hudson.
Her current ss11/12 collection ‘Habitat’ is inspired by "the fusion of the wild and the controlled" and features a colour palette of burnt oranges, olives and creams alongside textured metallics and tribal shapes.
Kirrily Johnston also has a diffusion line called Kj by Kirrily Johnston which makes beautifully made basics.
